Data protection
Everyone working in the NHS has a legal duty to maintain the highest level of confidentiality about patient information. Unless there are exceptional circumstances, such as the health and safety of others being put at risk, we will not disclose your information to third parties without your permission. The Salisbury Laser Clinic complies with the Data Protection Act 1998 and ensures your personal information is used fairly and lawfully.
Cookies – what are they?
A cookie is a small file of letters and numbers that is downloaded on to your computer when you visit some websites. Cookies are used by many websites and can do a number of things, e.g., remembering your preferences, recording what you've put in a shopping basket, and counting the number of people looking at a website.
How we use Cookies
Most modern websites have some kind of web tracking solution for collecting information about visitors to the site. We use Google Analytics to provide this service, which uses four first party cookies, i.e., added by us.
This technology can show us how visitors arrive at the site, e.g., from Google, directly or perhaps via the Salisbury District Hospital website, which country they visit from and how many visitors the website receives. We use this data to improve our website which in turn can help us treat more patients.
The data collected is not shared by any other party and we make no attempt to use it to identify individual visitors. By continuing to use our website you are agreeing to our use of cookies.
